Face Coverings at Our Resorts

Resorts in the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

As recommended by the CDC, Owners and guests are encouraged to wear a face covering indoors, regardless of vaccination status, in areas the CDC defines as substantial or high for COVID-19 transmission. This recommendation is in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts operate.

Please refer to your resort’s Property Update page for specific information regarding local government mandates that may currently be in place.

Face coverings are required for all unvaccinated Owners and guests at each of our resorts. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn by unvaccinated Owners and guests include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers
  • Outdoor public spaces where social distance of 6ft/2m cannot be maintained

Please Note:  The above requirements are in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts are located.

Exceptions

The following exceptions apply to the above face covering requirements for unvaccinated Owners and guests while on property, but please note that any more stringent requirements mandated by governmental authorities in jurisdictions where our resorts are located will still apply:

  • Individuals younger than 2 years old
  • Individuals with a health or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Individuals who are actively communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication
  • Individuals who are eating or drinking and seated at a food establishment on property (Individuals will be required to wear a face covering while moving around the food establishment and until they are seated at their table.)
  • Individuals who are exercising outdoors, including running, biking, and swimming and who are able to socially distance while doing so

Resorts Outside of the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers

Official Information

Effective Jan. 26, 2021, pursuant to an order of the director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, all aircraft passengers arriving in the United States from a foreign country are required to provide a copy of either: (i) a negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken no more than 3 days before their flight departs for the United States, or (ii) certain documentation of having recovered from COVID-19, to their airline before boarding a flight to the United States. Please visit the official Aruba website below for information on government travel restrictions that are currently in effect for all individuals entering Aruba. Please also visit the links below for official information on the mandatory restrictions and requirements that are currently in effect.

Aruba has entry requirements that you should be aware of. The requirements include, but are not limited to, completion of a personal health assessment form, mandatory COVID-19 health insurance, and the requirement that all visitors 15 years and older must take a COVID-19 test meeting requirements established by the Aruban government within the specified time period prior to arrival in Aruba. All travelers not showing documentation indicating a negative COVID-19 test result prior to travel to Aruba (meeting the Aruban government’s requirements) will receive a Molecular PCR COVID-19 test at the airport when arriving in Aruba, and will be required to quarantine at the traveler’s booked accommodations while test results are assessed.

As of July 14, 2021, certain United States residents who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 may be exempt from the COVID-19 testing requirement for entry into Aruba if they meet ALL of the requirements established by the Aruban government. Please visit the Travel Vaccinated to Aruba website for details on the current requirements.

As noted by the Aruba Tourism Authority on its traveler advisory website, currently the only accepted COVID-19 test is the Molecular SARS-CoV-2 test. Please check the Aruba government website for additional information.

Please visit the official web page for Aruba's COVID‑19 updates and travel restrictions for important information about your travel plans. We also strongly recommend you contact your travel provider to understand all the requirements of traveling to Aruba. You may find the latest travel information on the Visit Aruba website.

Please also visit Aruba’s official website for more information on facial covering requirements and safety protocols in Aruba.

As is the case with any public place, we cannot guarantee that you will not encounter others at the resort who are contagious; however, we want you to know that we are committed to cleanliness and our enhanced safety measures in response to COVID-19.
