Face Coverings at Our Resorts

Resorts in the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico

As recommended by the CDC, Owners and guests are encouraged to wear a face covering indoors, regardless of vaccination status, in areas the CDC defines as substantial or high for COVID-19 transmission. This recommendation is in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts operate.

Please refer to your resort’s Property Update page for specific information regarding local government mandates that may currently be in place.

Face coverings are required for all unvaccinated Owners and guests at each of our resorts. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn by unvaccinated Owners and guests include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers
  • Outdoor public spaces where social distance of 6ft/2m cannot be maintained 

Please Note:  The above requirements are in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts are located.

Exceptions

The following exceptions apply to the above face covering requirements for unvaccinated Owners and guests while on property, but please note that any more stringent requirements mandated by governmental authorities in jurisdictions where our resorts are located will still apply:

  • Individuals younger than 2 years old
  • Individuals with a health or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Individuals who are actively communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication
  • Individuals who are eating or drinking and seated at a food establishment on property (Individuals will be required to wear a face covering while moving around the food establishment and until they are seated at their table.)
  • Individuals who are exercising outdoors, including running, biking, and swimming and who are able to socially distance while doing so

Resorts Outside of the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

As part of our efforts to help you stay healthy when you stay with us, face coverings are required of all Owners, guests, and vendors at each of our resorts — even where not currently government-mandated and regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status — in connection with health agency recommendations. Cashless Resort

There is no cash available at this property, and credit cards are the only acceptable form of payment.

Service Animal Policy

Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at this resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a room recovery fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a room recovery fee in the amount of $500 per pet and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility.

Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and may result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment.

General Property Updates

Beach service is from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Please note that beach set-up times in the morning are contingent on authorization from the local turtle conservation representatives.

South Florida's Turtle Season runs from March 1st to October 31st. Please close your blackout drapes in all oceanfront villas before 9 p.m., and refrain from using artificial lighting at the beach after sunset to protect the local wildlife.

Construction Updates

The adjacent residence property to the South of Marriott’s Oceana Palms resort remains under construction and is an active construction site.

The renovation of the Sales Gallery located on floors 7 and 8 of the Sunrise Tower will occur from June 2022 through March 2023. Work will occur daily during daytime hours and construction noise is expected during this time.

Please note beginning on Dec. 1, 2022, renovation of the pool deck will be underway. During this project, please anticipate temporary closures to a small portion of the pool seating area along with construction noise during business hours. The project is anticipated to be complete by April 30, 2023.

Amenity Status

The current status of resort amenities and services is subject to change at any time due to governmental requirements and/or changes to operating guidelines. Please continue to check this website frequently for updates prior to your upcoming reservation.

There is limited onsite parking and only one parking pass per reservation.

  • Beach Services

    Beach Services is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for complimentary beach chairs, umbrella rentals, and limited food and beverage services. Umbrellas are offered at $20 per day.
  • On-Site Convenience Store

    The Marketplace/Reflections is open for breakfast, lunch, and Starbucks offerings for pick-up and go. See the front desk for hours of operation.
  • Activities (On-Site)

    Download the Marriott Vacation Club App to see our activities schedule or stop by the Front Desk at check-in. Reservations may be required based on the event.
  • Activity Center

    The Boardroom Activities Center and The Den are now open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with reduced capacity.  Reservations are required.
  • BBQ Grills

    Open daily until 10 p.m.
  • Concierge

    Open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
  • Fitness Center

    The Fitness Center is open 24 hours.
  • Fitness Class

    Fitness Classes are available. Please call the Activities Center for more information.
  • Hot Tub(s)/Spa(s)

    The hot tubs are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
  • Housekeeping

    The frequency of housekeeping services may not be available daily. Please contact the Front Desk for details.

    The Pool Lounge Chairs are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and may not be saved between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

    The Poolside Cabanas are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
  • Sports Courts

    The outdoor games and equipment can be picked up from the Boardroom Activities Center between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Steam Room/Sauna

    The steam room/sauna is open 24 hours.
