Face Coverings at Our Resorts

Resorts in the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

Effective May 21, 2021, unless otherwise required by local government mandates, fully-vaccinated Owners and guests at resorts in the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico are no longer required to wear face coverings at our resorts.

Please refer to your resort’s Property Update page for specific information regarding local government mandates that may currently be in place.

Face coverings are required for all unvaccinated Owners and guests at each of our resorts. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn by unvaccinated Owners and guests include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers
  • Outdoor public spaces where social distance of 6ft/2m cannot be maintained 

Please Note:  The above requirements are in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts are located.

Exceptions

The following exceptions apply to the above face covering requirements for unvaccinated Owners and guests while on property, but please note that any more stringent requirements mandated by governmental authorities in jurisdictions where our resorts are located will still apply:

  • Individuals younger than 2 years old
  • Individuals with a health or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Individuals who are actively communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication
  • Individuals who are eating or drinking and seated at a food establishment on property (Individuals will be required to wear a face covering while moving around the food establishment and until they are seated at their table.)
  • Individuals who are exercising outdoors, including running, biking, and swimming and who are able to socially distance while doing so

Resorts Outside of the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

As part of our efforts to help you stay healthy when you stay with us, face coverings are required of all Owners, guests, and vendors at each of our resorts — even where not currently government-mandated and regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status — in connection with health agency recommendations. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn include the following:

Important Alerts

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE WESTIN MISSION HILLS GOLF RESORT & SPA:

As of July 15, 2020, the adjacent Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa is no longer managed by Marriott International. With this change, access to the adjacent resort is not currently available by shuttle or walking path.

  • To access the golf course, or restaurants at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, Villas Owners and guests may drive to the resort or walk along Dinah Shore Drive to the main entrance. Parking may be validated with purchases at these outlets.
  • Room charges for purchases at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa are not currently available.
  • Pools at the adjacent resort are not currently available to Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas Owners and guests.
  • Please use only the East Pool at the Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas, which is available by reservation due to COVID-19 protocols. The Paradise Pool is available by appointment only for 2 hour reservation slots, subject to availability. The East Pool is closed from April 5 to June 14, 2021.
  • The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa does offer day passes for a fee. Please contact The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa for availability and pricing.
  • Shuttle Service is not available to/from the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa.

Please visit the official California Department of Public Health website for information on the recently updated Travel Advisory for the State of California, which provides, among other things, that Californians should avoid non-essential travel outside of California, to other states or countries, and strongly discourages non-essential travelers from other states and countries, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, from entering California, and provides that they should adhere to the quarantine procedures in the Travel Advisory, including testing and self-quarantining requirements. General Property Updates

Parking for Nightly Rental Guests effective on February 1, 2021 will be as follows:

$35 - Second Vehicle

Please contact the resort in advance to arrange parking for the a second vehicle. Please note: Parking is not available on site for larger vehicles such as motorhomes, vehicles with trailers, watercraft or similar. Please contact the property in advance for assistance.

Construction Updates

The East Pool will be closed for resurfacing from April 05, 2021 to June 14, 2021. Construction noise may occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Paradise Pool is available by appointment only for 2 hour reservation slots, subject to availability. Due to social distancing requirements, availability is not guaranteed.

Beginning June 6, 2021, to October 30, 2021, The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas, Palm Springs will be undergoing villa refurbishment and building painting. Work will occur daily during daytime hours, so please anticipate construction noise during this time. All other resort amenities are expected to remain open and fully operational for your enjoyment.
