Face Coverings at Our Resorts

Resorts in the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico

As recommended by the CDC, Owners and guests are encouraged to wear a face covering indoors, regardless of vaccination status, in areas the CDC defines as substantial or high for COVID-19 transmission. This recommendation is in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts operate.

Please refer to your resort’s Property Update page for specific information regarding local government mandates that may currently be in place.

Face coverings are required for all unvaccinated Owners and guests at each of our resorts. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn by unvaccinated Owners and guests include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers
  • Outdoor public spaces where social distance of 6ft/2m cannot be maintained 

Please Note:  The above requirements are in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts are located.

Exceptions

The following exceptions apply to the above face covering requirements for unvaccinated Owners and guests while on property, but please note that any more stringent requirements mandated by governmental authorities in jurisdictions where our resorts are located will still apply:

  • Individuals younger than 2 years old
  • Individuals with a health or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Individuals who are actively communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication
  • Individuals who are eating or drinking and seated at a food establishment on property (Individuals will be required to wear a face covering while moving around the food establishment and until they are seated at their table.)
  • Individuals who are exercising outdoors, including running, biking, and swimming and who are able to socially distance while doing so

Resorts Outside of the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

As part of our efforts to help you stay healthy when you stay with us, face coverings are required of all Owners, guests, and vendors at each of our resorts — even where not currently government-mandated and regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status — in connection with health agency recommendations. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn include the following:

  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers

Please check applicable rules on entry requirements which may vary depending on your country of origin, age and vaccination status and note that local public health measures may change with short notice. If you test positive for COVID-19, you may need to stay where you are until you test negative.

The use of face coverings is mandatory for anyone over the age of 6 years if you are traveling on any form of public transport in Spain. Face masks must cover the nose and mouth.

The use of face coverings is recommended in enclosed public spaces.

Those with respiratory problems or those unable to wear a mask due to other health conditions or disabilities are exempt. More details are available from the Ministry for Health.

Cashless Resort

To help promote health safety, there is limited cash available at this property, and credit cards are the preferred method of payment.

Service Animal Policy

Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at this resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a room recovery fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a room recovery fee in the amount of $500 per pet and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility.

Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and may result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment.

Please Note: Certain communicable illnesses, such as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), are highly contagious. We encourage you to take steps to mitigate your risk of contracting communicable illnesses, such as COVID-19, including following recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.

Construction Updates

Below is the most current schedule for planned maintenance work & facilities closures affecting owners and guests. The resort will do its utmost to keep any disturbance to the minimum and we like to apologize in advance for any noise the maintenance may cause to you during your holidays. The ongoing renovations and preventive maintenance will ensure the upkeep of the resort for your upcoming holidays.

Please note that this schedule only covers larger projects that are scheduled at this point in time. Other repairs or maintenance may occur throughout the Resort on an ongoing basis and are not noted on this schedule.

1 Sunbeds are NOT available at the beach from November 15th, 2022, till March 31st, 2023.

2 Charlie’s Bar will remain open during the closure of El Med Restaurant. Dinner service is available every day. The marketplace remains open full year-round for meal options, groceries, freshly baked breads, and much more.

3 During work, the noise level may be at times high for extended periods in affected areas of the Resort.

4 Alternative Pools are scheduled to be open.

5 During renovation works limited changing facilities may be offered. Full changing room facilities are available in the Family Pool. While closed, no steam room facilities will be available. Unisex Sauna is available at the Family Pool.

6 Limited gym facilities and equipment are available during this time. Various Activities (spinning, stretching, yoga, etc.) are normally available.

7 Closure only affecting dinner service
