Face Coverings at Our Resorts

Resorts in the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

As recommended by the CDC, Owners and guests are encouraged to wear a face covering indoors, regardless of vaccination status, in areas the CDC defines as substantial or high for COVID-19 transmission. This recommendation is in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts operate.

Please refer to your resort’s Property Update page for specific information regarding local government mandates that may currently be in place.

Face coverings are required for all unvaccinated Owners and guests at each of our resorts. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn by unvaccinated Owners and guests include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers
  • Outdoor public spaces where social distance of 6ft/2m cannot be maintained 

Please Note:  The above requirements are in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts are located.

Exceptions

The following exceptions apply to the above face covering requirements for unvaccinated Owners and guests while on property, but please note that any more stringent requirements mandated by governmental authorities in jurisdictions where our resorts are located will still apply:

  • Individuals younger than 2 years old
  • Individuals with a health or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Individuals who are actively communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication
  • Individuals who are eating or drinking and seated at a food establishment on property (Individuals will be required to wear a face covering while moving around the food establishment and until they are seated at their table.)
  • Individuals who are exercising outdoors, including running, biking, and swimming and who are able to socially distance while doing so

Resorts Outside of the United States, USVI, and Puerto Rico

As part of our efforts to help you stay healthy when you stay with us, face coverings are required of all Owners, guests, and vendors at each of our resorts — even where not currently government-mandated and regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status — in connection with health agency recommendations. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, Marketplaces, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers

Guests should be aware of the following: Starting Monday, August 9th, the entrance off of Frank Sinatra is available daily for our registered Owners and Guests from 6:00am - 10:00pm.

Pet Policy

This property welcomes ADA service animals. Pets are not permitted.

Official Information

Face coverings may be required. Effective July 28, 2021, the California Department of Public Health recommends all individuals, including individuals who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, to wear face coverings in indoor public settings.

General Property Updates

Notice: This resort does not permit pets.  However, service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome. Emotional support animals and comfort animals are not recognized as assistance or service animals under the law. Fraudulently representing a dog as a guide, signal or service dog is a crime under California Penal Code 365.7(a).

The Grill Restaurant at Shadow Ridge and Marriott Golf Academy are closed until further notice.

Construction Updates

Multiple projects are underway at Marriott's Shadow Ridge through December 2021. The projects include preventative villa and public space maintenance. Various buildings are closed.

Amenity Status

The current status of resort amenities and services is subject to change at any time due to governmental requirements and/or changes to operating guidelines. Please continue to check this website frequently for updates prior to your upcoming reservation.

Resort Shuttle will have limited service;
Oversized vehicles, RVs, and Trailers are not allowed on the resort grounds; and
Only two people per family allowed at check-in.

    Operational procedures:
    • • Golf shop hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
    • • Last tee time of the day is at 1 p.m.
    • • Bunker hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, with the beverage cart running from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily (based on demand).

    Summer maintenance schedule:

    • • Closed for annual overseeding process from Oct. 4–29, 2021.

    Additionally, the golf course and practice facility will be closed to Owners and guests from Aug. 16–21, 2021, for LPGA Q School.

    The Marriott Golf Academy is currently closed.

    You must have a tee time in order to use the driving range.

    Pool sessions are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays to assure a more tasteful and enjoyable experience for all owners and guests. During the registration process, Owners and guests will receive wristbands for admission to designated sessions, depending on wristband color:
    • Open Swim Session, 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. — only at Chuckwalla Pool and Snakebites Pool.
    • A.M. Pool Session, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — all pools.
    • P.M. Pool Session, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. — all pools.
    • Open Swim Session, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. — only at Chuckwalla Pool and Snakebites Pool.
