The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort will begin a project to resurface the room corridors in buildings 8 to 14 from Aug. 4, 2025 through Nov. 30, 2025. This work will take place during daytime hours, and while we strive to minimize disruption, please expect construction noise and dust in the affected areas. We appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance the resort.

Construction Updates

The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort will commence a project to renovate the Lobby areas on buildings 5, 6, and 11 from Apr. 20, 2025, through Nov. 30, 2025. This work will take place during daytime hours, and while we strive to minimize disruption, please expect construction noise and dust in the affected areas. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance the resort.

Service Animal Policy

Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at this resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a room recovery fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a room recovery fee in the amount of $500 per pet and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility.

Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and may result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment.

General Property Updates

HOSPITALITY TAX AND ENVIRONMENTAL TAX

The State of Quintana Roo assesses a hospitality tax that is due upon check-out:

Studio Premium Villa: USD$5.74  per night
One-Bedroom Premium Villa: USD$9.70  per night
Two-Bedroom Lockoff Villa: USD $15.44 per night

Effective February 1, 2023, the State of Quintana Roo implemented an environmental and sanitation tax. This nightly tax of $79.20 MXN pesos up to $158.40 MXN pesos per room per day will be based on the type of villa occupied and billed in pesos directly to your folio.

Durable Medical Equipment

If you or someone in your party requires durable medical equipment such as shower chairs, crutches, or toilet seat risers, please contact the property. They'll be happy to provide a list of third-party vendors who may be able to assist you.
